Colours of the Rainbow

All music and lyrics by Janina Russell except Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy (by Hughie Prince and Don Raye) and last verse of Rain, Rain, Rain (traditional).

Janina has made many recordings since the start of her
musical career. She began writing songs around the age of 7. Accompanied by her guitar, and over years of writing and
performing experience, she has developed a grasp of the craft of songwriting and arrangng. Janina has an innate gift to feel distinct musical colour…… distinct melody lines, and this has led to an incredible variety in her musical creation.

One of her highlights is her children’s album, Colours Of The Rainbow, which is being re-released at year-end of 2010, the album is a soul-touching and innovative compilation of original children’s music.

It features an incredible variety of musical styles and
instrumentation, featuring such well known, world class, and award-winning musicians as Lloyd Arntzen (clarinet) Peter Allen (piano), Spencer Capier (violin and mandolin), Mark
Hasselbach (trumpet), Leo Aquino (accordion), Jerry Des Voignes (vocals),
and many more.
